This rare modernist lounge chair embodies a unique, appealing design. The tubular metal frame is sleek and is beautifully bent into shape. The seat and backseat are executed in beige suede, adding a sturdy feel to the simplistic design. The buckles and straps underneath the armrests enrich the leather in a vigorous manner. This perfectly matches with the frame giving it a sense of luxury. The frame has gained admirable patina over the years, giving the chairs even more character. Overall, this pair is an iconic piece for mid-century Dutch design.
Please note that the sides of bottom of the seat are currently connected by means of rope and the leather straps are in used condition. Therefore, we advise restoration before use. This can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsman in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery and restoration is possible as well.
