Four-Piece Art Deco Seating Set, France, circa 1930s
About the Item
A unique and lovely set of unusual design, comprised of two chairs and two armchairs, with undulating seats covered in vintage ochre coloured fabric with a textured weave. Each back is adorned with a medallion containing a different carved fruit bowl, including pineapple, grape and melons, with details picked out in a darker colour. Another interesting and attractive feature is the way the four-sided front legs are assembled with the edges perpendicular to the rest of the chair.
