Machine Age Tubular Chrome and Leather Cantilevered Armchair

About the Item

Early 1930s American Art Deco / Machine Age armchair in the style of Gilbert Rohde or Mies van der Rohe, but designer is unknown. Features a black leather seat / back rest and ebonized wooden armrests, all supported by a tubular-chrome, cantilevered frame. Solid steel spring construction. Scuffs to the leather and scratches to the chrome present. Remains in good, vintage condition with attractive, natural patina. Measures: H 31" x D 22" x L 20.25" Seat height 15" Arm height 27.5".
