About the Item
This pair of Austrian upholstered Biedermeier armchairs from the mid 19th century features slanted backs with discreet scrolls in the top rail. The lovely arms are the definite focal point of the ensemble, with their exquisite s-scroll supports and circular inlaid motifs. The chairs are raised on delicately curved feet with banded veneer, also present on the rest of the structure. The neutral colored upholstery enhances the subtlety and richness of the wood finish. This comfortable pair of Austrian Biedermeier armchairs circa 1860 would be a great compliment to any home.
