Pair of Fine Gustavian Style Paint Decorated Arm Chairs
About the Item
A particularly fine pair of Gustavian style armchairs. A pair of custom upholstered arm chairs with intentionally distressed paint decorated frames in bluish taupe. The carved palmettes on the arm supports echo the ones on the crest rail. With round armrests with manchettes, web construction with firm solid seating. Upholstered in a woven fabric, grosgrain and satin trims. Raised on tapering leafy carved front legs and gently splayed back legs.
Dimensions: 23 3/4" W, 21 1/2" D, 17 1/2" seat height and 36 1/2" H
Condition: Please see all detail photos. There is age-related wear to the leg bottoms, otherwise very good with only acceptable and minimal age and use wear with a fine and elegant presentation.
