Pair of Italian Neoclassical Tapestry Armchairs
About the Item
A pair of Italian Neoclassical open arm chairs with carved white painted frames having gilt details. The oval chairbacks and seats are upholstered with French Aubusson tapestry, having polychrome floral and bird motifs accented by bows. The frames have a restored finish with arms extending outwards terminating in scrolls. The rounded apron framed with gold velvet and supported by square and tapered legs with fluting. Chairs circa 1820.
