Pair of Louis XIV Style, Os de Mouton, Walnut Wingback Fauteuils

About the Item

Striking pair of antique French Louis XIV style, walnut wingback fauteuils with carved armrests, standing on 'os de mouton' legs joined by H-shaped stretcher base, upholstered with a tapestry like fabric with nailhead trim, nailhead trim. These fauteuils have been made by an artisan of the V&A Museum in London in the 1980s. Beautiful, detailed craftsmanship, exquisite wood work and tapestry style fabric in a very good condition, The chairs are in very good condition, sturdy and comfortable. Purchased in London in the 1980s for 5,400 GBP.
