Rare Danish Writing Armchairs by IB Kofod Larsen for Selig

About the Item

A pair of rare Ib Kofod Larsen writing lounge chairs with sculptural winged arms and very well crafted frames. Finished in a medium dark ebony with brass hardware and upholstered in a sand toned tightly woven linen blended fabric typical of Danish furniture at the time. A sophisticated look having a floating backrest this chair is one of Larsen's best designs, still retains the medallion label to each chair made in Denmark for the Selig Furniture company.

    Reupholstered. Wear consistent with age and use. In great condition with the seat having been reupholstered a while back , the frames are in vintage condition with a few very slight marks and some slight wear from age and use .
