About the Item

Rare pair of 19th-century carved ceremonial armchairs, the profusely carved backs with flower heads and scrolling leaf decoration to the lift-up seat retaining the original locks. Flanked by crisply carved peacock arms. Above further decorative carving depicting elephants. All raised on bun feet.
