We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning exceptionally rare original early Victorian Cigar brown leather fully restored Chesterfield buttoned armchair This is the model that everyone wants, it is the 100% perfect and correct oversized club model, the arms are substantially larger than later and reproduction models, the frame is coil sprung everywhere, arms, back, base, the padding is all horse hair which was the finest wadding of its day, you can tell because it crunches everywhere. The original Chesterfield sofas and armchairs are pretty much the only chesterfields that are actually comfortable, pretty much all others are hard on your lower back, this is sprung as mentioned so offers a wonderful seat. The feet are solid mahogany as is the frame, they have been polished and look amazing The armchair has been fully restored as you can see, the leather had naturally faded back to the plain colour of the hide, its been hand dyed to this lovely cigar brown colour by my leather polishers, simply put this armchair is the finest example you will find anywhere today Dimensions: Height:- 67cm Width:- 108cm Depth:- 87cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide.
