Rod Stewart Essex Home Howard & Son's Victorian Blood Red Leather Armchairs

About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this once in a lifetime opportunity to own the great Sir Rod Stewart's pair of original Howard & Sons fully stamped with original castors Victorian blood red leather club tub armchairs. Never again will you be able to buy this pair, there is only one set in the world and these are them, they come for Sir Rod's Essex home and are completely original, both inside legs are fully stamped Howard & Son’s LTD Berners Street and with the serial number 14964 4018 and 19718 3959, all castors are original and fully stamped Howard & Sons London. I have included a couple of stock photos of the chairs in place and I have the original purchase invoice from the sale which details they are Sir Rod's chairs, I am happy to include the invoice with the sale. The chairs are totally original as mentioned, they have tonnes of wear and tear, the odd button missing, the colour is blood red which has stayed quite solid throughout the years, the frames are good and solid, one of the base covers facing the floor is loose but I can tack it back into place should the new owner wish. For those of you that are unaware of Howard & Son's chairs the Queen has I think the largest private collection in the world, they are the finest handmade in England and most famous chairs in the world, highly collectable and extremely valuable, the more beaten up and original the better, I have a restored pair of these chairs listed under my other items and a sofa, they range from £10,000-£20,000 a piece These chairs are early models and with the very rare walnut timber frames. Dimensions: Height 80 cm Width 79 cm Depth 70 cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
