Set of Four Country French Louis XV Style 19th Century Patinated Armchairs
About the Item
A beautiful set of four French 19th century Louis XV st. patinated wood armchairs. Each armchair is raised by elegant cabriole legs with finely detailed foliate carvings, original casters, and superb seashell reserves at each corner. The lightly scalloped shaped aprons are centered by additional richly carved seashells and lovely foliate designs. The cushioned armrests display elegant scrolled designs with mottled carved movements flanking the wide seat. The upholstered back supports display additional most elegant and finely detailed carved foliate designs. All original patina throughout.
