Vintage Safari Lounge Chairs in Saddle Leather, 1970s
About the Item
Vintage Scandinavian safari lounge armchairs, 1970s. The sturdy armchairs have a solid spruce frame between which the black saddle leather seat is stretched. The leather backrest is slid over a frame. The leather straps on the back of the seat give the chairs a nice robust character. The chairs are very similar to the Karin Mobring Diana safari chair for Ikea, but have a different shape of the wooden frame. Perhaps prototypes or craftsmanship? What is certain is that this model is rare, perhaps one of a kind. Designer and producer unknown to us.
