19th Century George III English Mahogany Metamorphic Step Ladder

About the Item

A rare George III English mahogany metamorphic library step ladder from the 19th century that converts into a bench (also ideal for use as a side table, cocktail table). Having red inset leather tops with gilt-tooled floral borders, on solid mahogany frame, lifting converts it into a a four-step ladder, rising on squared legs, joined by box stretcher. Dimensions (approx): Bench - Table form: 17.25" H, 27.5" W, 17.25" D; Ladder: 27.5" H, 27.5" W, 17.25" D Excellent antique condition. Great patina. Wear and tear consistent with age/use. Black mark on leather top. The photos finish the description.
