Antique Italian Neoclassical Giltwood & Caned Vanity Bench
About the Item
Antique Italian neoclassical giltwood & caned vanity bench was designed to provide lightweight comfort and timeless classical style! The kidney-shaped design can be flipped for different contours of vanities or counters, with a convex side opposing the concave side. The caned top provides lightweight, breathable comfort, and is framed by large egg & dart molding around the entire perimeter. Just underneath the perimeter is the apron, fully fluted, and supported by four subtly scrolled legs adorned with carved laurel leaf and berry motifs down to the escargot feet tips. The gold finish has attained a lovely patina over the decades, creating a stunning ageless visual effect.
