Antropología Bech

About the Item

Antropología is a minimal furniture collection created by Mexico City-based designer Raul de la Cerda for BREUER. BREUER is the leading company in design and manufacturing of custom furniture and spaces in the Mexico, a company where contemporary culture is lived and breathed. From the beginning, the brand has developed its collections in collaboration with renowned designers, architects and artists, and in Antropología collection they collaborate with Raúl de la Cerda. Raul designed Anthropología, a family of benches and tables / stools made of American oak and black marble, inspired by the geometry, repetition and simplicity of the prehistoric pieces observed in the Museum of Anthropology of the City of Mexico. Raul de la Cerda is an interdisciplinary designer originally from Mexico City formed in Mexico, Paris and Madrid. Since 2016 Raul runs his design studio RAUL DE LA CERDA ESTUDIO, as well as being creative director of Artelinea. Raul's work goes back to the origin of the materials he uses most: wood, stone and metal. He does not hide his designs under indirect layers, but reduces them to their essence. His inspiration is life, the continuous curiosity for things, travel, art, his family, the people around him, his country; Mexico, its history and the passion and desire to have to do different things.
