Carl Malmsten Bench for Svensk Fur, Sweden, 1960

About the Item

A wonderful pine wooden bench designed by Carl Malmsten, manufactured by Svensk Fur in Sweden around 1960. The bench is made of warm brown coloured pine wood. The narrow rectangular top / seat is held by four gently tapered legs. The top reveals the beautiful connections of the legs, in circle shape in the wood. The straight shapes and rounded details compliment each other nicely, making this beautiful piece fitting for many different interiors. It is a highly recognizable piece of Swedish design excellence! The bench remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
