Oversized French Louis XV Style Bergere Chair with Ottoman
About the Item
This is a stunning oversized French Louis XV style Bergere with the matching ottoman carved from oak. The chair has a gorgeous Royal French Red Gloss Lacquer paint finish which we have recently touched up. The down-filled upholstery is in excellent condition and it was cleaned prior to listing. The hand-jointed oak frame is resting on top of cabriolet legs. There is one center back stretcher that runs vertically down the middle for added stability. The crest and arms are decorated with foliate carvings. The chair is an eye catcher. If you are looking for a statement piece chair this one has it all. It is a very comfortable chair and in excellent condition. It will make a great addition to you or your clients home.
