Pair of 19th Century French Louis XVI Carved Walnut Bergeres
About the Item
A pair of timeless and elegant French Louis XVI armchairs from the 19th century having a shapely, upholstered back, with arched crest rail, all framed within molded wood trim. Carved wood arms, with manchette pads for comfort, terminate into scrolled knuckles. Front arm supports are embellished with acanthus leaf and ribbon carvings. The apron mimics the simplistic trim of the back edges, with carved ribbon accents, all raised on four rounded and flute carved legs, which taper gently and sit on toupie feet. This pair of 19th century French Louis XVI bergere armchairs are exquisitely carved and are complete with new high quality British cotton/linen neutral fabric upholstery. The elegant carving of the wood and the neutral upholstery will add elegance to any room in the home! #3696
