Alpine Board Chair Decorated with Two Birds 18th Century

About the Item

The present piece is an unusual board chair made of walnut from the Alpine region. It is not a simple peasant chair, as evidenced by the particularly ornately carved birds that adorn the backrest. The chair was made in the 18th century in Bavaria or Tyrol. This type of chairs were used mainly in parlors with wood paneling.
