Chair B designed by Konstantin Grcic for BD Barcelona. Konstantin Grcic is a German Industrial designer known for creating mass-manufactured items, such as furniture and household products. Described as having a pared-down aesthetic, his functional designs are characterized by geometric shapes and unexpected angles.
The lateral sides of the chair are made of veneered beech plywood while the backrest is made up of three parts in solid ashwood. The seats are veneered in beech with the upper surface in ash. Chair B is offered in two finishes: varnished in natural ash with white axes or lacquered black with black axes; both axes being made of tubular steel. And powder coated in cast aluminum. Besides these, an upholstered leather seat version is also available for Chair B which is a lively punctuation that celebrates and enhances the eclectic nature of the class interiors.
