The organic curves and gravity-defying cantilever of the Moot chair are a result of Ross Lovegrove’s continuing fascination with carbon fibre; a light, high-strength material used by aircraft and racing engineers. The complex curvature could not be achieved used any other material and achieves maximum performance with the least possible material use.
