Four Midcentury White Blue Linen Boomerang Chairs, Dark Wood, Poland, 1960s

About the Item

One of the most recognizable chairs from the Polish PRL period, produced in the 1960s in Goscininskie Furnitures Factory. Chairs type 299, commonly called Boomerang due to the very original and characteristic shape of the legs. They have undergone a comprehensive renovation. Beech wood thoroughly cleaned of old varnish and protected with colorless wood wax, which gave the surface a velvety coating. Upholstery and filling replaced. Upholstery fabric in the color of blue and white was used in this renovation. This is a sketchy textured fabric comprising rich melange tones in linen and cotton. This versatile plain with abstract weaves, inspired by the crashing of waves on the shore works well as a backdrop for bold, intricate patterned designs within the Coast collection. This fully reversible fabric with an elegant drape is available in 3 colourways. Composition: 80% linen 20% cotton Chair is very stabile and comfortable, good for long dinner. We can prepare sets of 2, 6, 8 or more chairs too, also in another fabric and wood color. Please check the last pictures with color samples. Here set of 4 is available.
