Italian Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli Plia Plastic Dining Chairs, Set of 2

About the Item

Originally designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Catelli in 1967, the Plia chair was introduced at the Fiera del Mobile in Milan and since then has become one of the most iconic chairs of the 20th century. The Plia chair was the first to be able to fold as well as championing transparent material as the main design feature, making it revolutionary in the furniture world. Constructed from a chrome-plated steel frame, the chair features a clear ABS plastic backrest and seat giving the chair a futuristic aesthetic. Perfectly balancing style with practicality, the Plia chairs can be easily folded or flexible storage. A fantastic example of classic Italian design, this set of Plia chairs would make the perfect addition to any contemporary living space, and can be used for a multitude of different seating solutions.
