Modern Italian Wooden Chair from Bontempi Casa Collection
About the Item
Designed by Daniele Molteni, Alfa is a chair with walnut solid wood frame and a characteristic lapel on the back, a chic detail of timeless elegance. The Bontempi Casa solid wood frames for tables and chairs are made with water-based epoxy paint. An ecological method, without the use of chemical solvents, which gives color to the grain. Bontempi Casa solid wood comes from precious woods. After a 6/8 month drying process, the degree of humidity is reduced to 5% to resist temperature changes. They are then cut into boards and paired to make the top. A final water-based protective treatment makes them smooth. Natural knots and differences in colour testify their authenticity. The shell of this chair is in lacquered wood, which is made with MDF panels painted with epoxy powder, an ecological alternative to traditional painting with enamels. The double drying process in the oven makes the lacquering more homogeneous and scratch resistant. The shell is also covered in Waterproof Nabuk, a fabric with suede effect, made of microfibers coupled with cotton fabric. It is a resistant and waterproof fabric. The Bontempi Collection is 100% Made in Italy. Bontempi Casa is located in Camerano a village nested on the Adriatic Seaside.
