Pair of Danish Chairs Made of Teak, circa 1960
About the Item
Pareja de sillas en madera de teca fabricadas en Dinamarca en la década de 1960’s. La estructura se construye en madera maciza de teca con un asiento tapizado en tejido de telar tradicional en espiga negra. El respaldo se fabrica en chapa de teca para lograr así su elegante y ergonómica curvatura. Destaca la fuerza de la veta en toda la pieza maciza en contraste con el estampado del tejido.
Se encuentran en un excelente estado general de conservación tras haber sido restauradas y re tapizadas. Mantienen leves cicatrices en la chapa de los respaldos acordes a su antigüedad. La madera ha sido lijada y pulida a mano para finalmente ser tratada con aceite-cera de origen vegetal y lograr así un tacto sedoso en toda la pieza.
