Kazuhide Takahama
Kazuhide Takahama was a Japanese designer born in Miyazaki, Japan. After graduating from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1953, Takahama designed the Japanese Pavilion for the Milan Triennale. There he met Dino Gavina, and over the next decade, Takahama designed several pieces for Gavina. Later, he also collaborated with B&B Italia, Simon and Knoll, just to name a few. His designs are clear in line and shape and have a high-quality design. With the functionalist approach to modernism, he designed with a Japanese sense of material and aesthetics conveniently combined with Western elements.

- Set of Six Italian Vintage Chairs in Wood and Dark Green LeatherLocated in Milano, ITLovely set composed of six wooden chairs designed in the 50's, of fine Italian manufacture. The structure of the chairs is linear, with four supporting legs, with a pointed shape, while the back is straight with a slightly curved cut of the wood. The chairs are entirely made of light wood in the frame, while dark green leather in the seat. The seat and back are connected: in fact, the leather upholstery rises from the seat to the middle of the back, giving a unique touch to the seat. The leather is fixed to the structure by means of round brass studs in patina, typically vintage. Another peculiarity of the chair is the shape of the top of the backrest, which sees the woodwork at the two ends create two soft indentations, while the middle part goes down more, creating a beautiful ornament. The shape of the chair seat is also peculiar, as towards the outside it becomes more pointed and the wood also tapers, while going towards the center of the seat the wood is thicker and strengthened. The chairs are very beautiful and are ideal for furnishing vintage...Category

- Set of Six Tulu Chairs by Kazuhide Takahama for Simon GavinaBy Kazuhide Takahama, Studio SimonLocated in Dronten, NLThe Tulu chair was designed by the Japanese designer Kazuhide Takahama for Simon International in 1966. The Tulu is one of the very first models that paved the way for the use of chrome-plated steel rod. The steel rod makes it possible to produce softly curved, extremely rounded structures. The back and seat upholstery is attached with zippers and completely removable. The dark blue Alcantara fabric is great, it is the Italian version of Ultrasuede. It feels like natural suede, but it is resistant to stains and discoloration; it can be washed in a washing machine. These elegant stackable chairs are in very good all original condition. They are an early production of Simon International and marked with a silver foil label inside the seat. This set was bought by the original owners in 1970 together with a Sarpi table...Category
