About the Item

A French carved wood and upholstered chaise lounge from the 19th century. This antique Duchesse en Bateau (chaise) from France features a straight rail at the head and foot boards which have been carved in a foliage motif with shell at the center, and a more minimally adorn skirting with accents carved just above each of the center legs.
