French Chaise Longue Louis XVI
About the Item
Elegant French chaise lounge Louis XVI. Late period 18th to early 19th century. The frame is wonderfully sculpted with the left side elegantly raised sloping lower to the right side. Intricately carved detailed frame with turned rope top of frame, stepped leafs to the arms with intricate architectural detail to lower frame. Padded inset armrest with scrolled ends. Fluted leg tops adorned with floret detail. An exceptional and stunning period shape having a full back rest surround. Cushion maintains original horse hair fill. Beautifully upholstered in Nina Campbell. Very good condition. France 1800
