About the Item
A light-blue, vintage Mid-Century Modern Italian pair of lounge chairs with a button-tufted back, designed most likely by Ico Parisi in good condition. The seat backrest of the armchairs, club chairs are slightly leaned to the back with outstretched arms, standing on four painted metal and brass feet. Newly upholstered in a light-blue, grey fabric. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950 - 1960, Italy.
Measures: seat: 17" H x 17" W x 20" D.
Ico Parisi was an Italian architect and designer born in 1916 Palermo, Italy and passed away in 1996. Parisi studied first construction and graduated in 1934, later he studied architecture between 1949 – 1952 at the Institute of Atheneum in Lausanne, Switzerland. In 1948, Parisi and his wife Luisa Aiani founded the design studio La Ruota. Parisi defined himself as a renaissance artist.
