About the Item
Wonderful vintage Mid-Century Modern mocha colored velvet club or lounge chair in the style of Dunbar. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are a few spots and age-appropriate wear. There were a couple of larger spots which looked like fabric was missed catching in the seam that have been glued and are invisible to us now. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, mid-20th century.
I feel like this chair is holding its arms wide open as if to say… “Come… Let me hold you!!” Maybe I just need a hug or something! LOL!! Anyway, this is a WONDERFUL mid-century modern chair wearing a fabulous mocha colored super soft velvet fabric with button tufted seat back, a loose seat cushion, flared arms, and the base features an apron between the tapered squircle shaped wood legs. The velvet fabric is absolutely awesome, you’re going to just love it!!! It has a wide comfortable seat and it’s designed in the style of Dunbar! It will blend in beautifully with any décor and is ready to grace your home with spectacular style and unmatchable comfort!! It’s going to be wonderful in your living room beside the sofa, in a corner of your bedroom, in the sitting room beside a fabulous floor lamp, or flanking the fireplace in the study! Don’t let this wonderful, welcoming chair pass you by! Open your arms, bring in that bear hug, and make it yours!!

The base or legs are comprised of a pair of walnut planks turned upright and running from front to back on each side of the chair. Simple yet dynamic. Bernhardt Furniture was established in 1889 by John Mathias Bernhardt and has been going strong for over 125 years. He spent many years out west in Oregon Territory.
