Oak Daybed designed by Maurice Pre, circa 1950, Made in France

About the Item

Solid oak daybed with a muslin seat cushion. The frame has four sets of, hand carved, notches. Each set of notches determines the incline of the cushion. The fifth setting is achieved by resting the cushion flat into the frame, having no incline. A solid oak pole, with ball finials at each end, is used to secure the seat at the desired angle. Removing the pole allows the seat to rest in a horizontal position. Designed by Maurice Pre, France, 1950s.
