  • Heavy Brutalist Wabisabi Oak Double Daybed, 1970's
    By Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Chapo
    Located in Amsterdam, NL
Very nice bed made of heavy solid wooden bars which are attached with bolts. The wood has a nice patina, at some points the wood is cracked, but this does not affect the structure, it only makes it more beautuful, like it comes straight out of nature. Suits very nice in a wabisabi interior as a bed or double...

  • Blessing Modern, Brutalist, Hand Carved Wood, Steel & Hair On Hide Daybed
    By Egg Designs
    Located in Bothas Hill, KZN
This daybed is part of our Blessing collection. This modern, Brutalist inspired daybed is set on a hand carved hardwood base which is burnished and polished black. The base supports a steel section which has a hair on hide, removable cushion. The hide is a tan Nguni cow skin, the Nguni cow is a prized cow in the Royal families of KZN where the daybed is made. The Blessing daybed is good for use indoors and would complement any style of interior from Modern, Mid Century modern, Minimal to Brutalist. It also fits very well into interiors that favor natural material, where a Wabi Sabi aesthetic is desired. The hair on hide version cannot be used outdoors, we have many outdoor fabric options which would make the daybed usable...
