19th Century Set of Four Swedish Gustavian Caned Dining Chairs
About the Item
Gorgeous weathered set of four painted 19th century dining chairs made in the Swedish Gustavian taste. The chairs feature a carved frame with an arched caned back. The seats have a bowed front and have been recently upholstered with a linen fabric in a neutral cream tone. Beautifully crafted and heavily influenced by the popular French Louis XVI style of the period. The chairs have a lovely, distressed patina on the painted finish with wear, losses, and old repairs.
