Cinch Tan Woven Bridle Leather Chair
About the Item
Inspired by the utilitarian and timeless minimalism of the Shaker tradition, the Cinch dining or occasional chair fuses traditional timber frame joinery and classic leather working techniques. Hand turned back legs and pinned tenon joints are paired with hand sewn vegetable tanned leather and linen thread; creating an elegant and tactile chair that will develop a unique patina over time.
Oak bark leather from Britain's last remaining oak bark tannery is used for its incredible strength and beauty. It is some the most sustainably and transparently produced leather in the world, using the best hides from pasture fed cows in England.
