Set of 4 Paul McCobb Style Dining Chairs by Lane
About the Item
Set of 4 unique dining chairs made by Lane Furniture. Often attributed to Paul McCobb due to the simple yet elegant design. Clean lines through the metal frames working up to the wood and cane backrests. 4 total chairs. One captain chair and 3 side chairs. The chairs have had some work done to them. The bases have an unusual and custom finish to them. The bases were found with a lot of surface rust and were polished down to their chrome and brass plating then left to start the oxidation process. Once they were at a level of patina that looked great they were lightly cleaned and clear coated to stop that process. Please look close at the photos to see, each chair has a unique pattern now that look awesome as a set. The seats were reupholstered not long ago and remade with a little extra foam from the original for comfort. Backs were lightly refinished to the point where they still show their age but are ready to last another 50 years. Original tags remain.

- Condition:Refinished. Additions or alterations made to the original: Cushions have been made thicker for comfort. Metal frames have an unusual finish job where the chairs were cleaned then allowed to patina in a high humidity environment then clear coated to stop the process. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor fading. Has wear to them but in good condition. Some wear to the backs and custom patina to the bases. Very light wear to cushions.
