Set of Eight Chippendale Style Chairs, 20th Century
About the Item
Set of Eight Chippendale Style Chairs
A set of Georgian style Chippendale mahogany dining room chairs.
The set comprises six single chairs and a pair of elbow chairs.
The chair backs have a serpentine shaped top rail with a broad pierced and carved centre splat.
The square front legs and chair seat frame have a carved decorative edge, the legs are joined by an 'H' shaped cross stretcher.
The pair of elbow chairs have a bold shaped and carved pair of arm rests.
The chairs are in good strong condition with a few old marks to the wood from use and drop in pad seats. (Circa 1920)
