Set of Four 19th Century French Empire Swan Neck Dining Chairs

About the Item

A charming set of four 19th century decorative dining chairs with French Empire influence. The handcrafted frames feature sweeping curved barrel backs being flanked by carved swan necks, drop in seats raised on turned and carved front legs and splay legs to the rear. Having recently been re-upholstered in stone colored dupion silk fabric. This timeless, classic style of chairs is the epitome of Classical design! Comfortable, versatile and always fresh.

Mid-Century Modern S-37 chairs were originally designed by Anton Lorenz in 1929 and later manufactured by Gebruder Thonet in the 1970s.
