A set of four antique Chinese elmwood scholar's ceremonial side chairs from the early 20th century, with dark patina and sinuous back splats, all with slight variations. Born in China during the early years of the 20th century, each of this set of four scholar's chairs features a pierced back adorned with a sinuous splat, resting on a rectangular wooden seat with central board. Each chair is raised on four straight legs with humpbacked apron and side stretchers. With their elegant lines and dark patina, these four Chinese elm scholar's ceremonial chairs will be great additions to any dining room or breakfast area. We have more chairs available, also with slight variations.
