The South of France was home to the finest woven rope and rush furniture in the mid 20th century. Weaving artisans like Audoux and Minet are now highly sought after. This fine set of six high back dining chairs is in that tradition. Dark beech lathe turned wood frames with rustic woven rope seats and backs and character to spare. France, 1950s.
