Six "Rubber Chairs" by Brian Kane for Metropolitan Furniture – Steelcase

About the Item

Fabulous set of six bold black armchairs by Metro for Steelcase designed by Brian Kane. These sleek vintage chairs are made of black steel encased in EPDM rubber tubing with comfortable black leather seats and offer a satisfying grip. In good ready to use vintage condition. Add a graphic edge to your dining room. Metropolitan Furniture Company was purchased in the 1980s by Steelcase. The designer, Brian Kane, joined the design staff of Metro in 1977. He became one of four partners and assumed the job of Vice President of Design and Product Development less than three years later and remained 2 years after the purchase by Steelcase.
