This exquisitely designed and fabricated Art Deco Cubist Skyscraper Style Settee and Club Chair Set in Black Lacquer W/Holly Hunt Upholstery in the Manner of Ruhlmann originates from France, Circa 1930. These pieces feature a beautifully proportioned geometric composition of sleek angles within the framework rendered in black lacquer, creating lovely curvatures that interact cohesively within the upholstered elements of the Club chairs and Settee. The end of each armrest is accented with skyscraper styled cubist detailing, a subtle element with a significant impact on the beauty and conceptual strength of the pieces. The top element of the back of each of the three pieces has lovely hand-carved naturalist detailing, creating a thoughtful design contrast between the rectilinear and geometric elements.
