About the Item
The greatest works of Modern and Brutalist architecture seem to defy physics - with top-heavy silhouettes, unexpected slivers of negative space, and stacks of heavy, blocky forms seemingly balanced on air. This fabulous seating suite - with its floating seats and heavy pine planks separated by subtle spacers - is a perfect example of that gravity-defying visual illusion. Slung between such sparse vertical frames, the seats seem almost precarious - making the truth of their sturdiness all the more impressive.
This suite includes a sofa, loveseat, and armchair. The pine is finished in a deep chocolate brown stain, while the slung seats are topped with patinated leather cushions finished with whipstitch details for a unique look.
