Elegant French Empire Five Piece Mahogany Salon Set with Bronze Swan Decoration
About the Item
Stunning parlor set of antique French Empire mahogany and bronze upholstered sofa or loveseat, two armchairs and two side chairs. French, 19th century, and crafted from mahogany with bronze ormolu mounts and original upholstery. The cylindrical armrests are all supported by stunning bronze swan figural busts. The chairs feature square profile tapering legs. The seats are amply proportioned and quite comfortable, each decorated with multiple excellent quality bronze neoclassical mounts. Bought in the South of France.
