About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning Wesley-Barrell Howard model sofa and pair of armchairs suite RRp £18,000 A very luxury high end suite, the chairs retailed for £3699 frame alone and the sofa £6800 frame alone, with upholstery the complete cost was just over £18,000 The upholstery is 92% wool and 8% nylon, the nylon is incorporated to help the wool maintain its shape, 100% wool can be stretched out of place and is less durable than a wool mix The sofa has been professionally upholstery cleaned, it has the odd light mark but they are hard to see, the armchairs (which are a his and her pair, one slightly deeper) look to be in fine order throughout. Wesley Barrell made some of the finest hand made in England seating around, they used traditional English furniture making techniques as you can find here, the seat base platform is coil sprung as are the backs, the seat cushions are deep heavy feather filled and very comfortable indeed, the frames are all solid hardwood, the legs can be unscrewed for ease of transport and installation Sofa dimensions: Height 90cm Width 220cm Depth 105cm Armchair one (His) dimensions: Height 87cm Width 95.5cm Depth 102cm Armchair two (Hers) dimensions: Height 87cm Width 95.5cm Depth 94cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade
