Bamboo Rocking Chair by Ubunji Kidokoro
About the Item
This chair has the Tokyo Japan stamp as most probably was made for export.
Ubunji Kikodoro "rocking" chair designed in 1937 for the Mitsukoshi furniture design room. It was also shown at the universal exhibition in New York in 1939. Charlotte Perriand was inspired when she designed her bamboo chaise long and arm chair for her exhibition in Tokyo in 1941. Made of patinated bamboo.
