Van Os Pair of Armchairs in Blue Upholstery

About the Item

G. Van Os for Van Os Culemborg, pair of armchairs, beech and fabric, The Netherlands, 1950s. This pair of easy chairs is designed by Dutch designer G. Van Os in the 1950s. These lounge chairs, executed in beech and blue fabric have backrests that are slightly tilted in order to provide the sitter with maximum comfort. The seat is angular yet features soft, curved lines too. The sculptural legs are slightly tapered and bent, which is similar to the slightly tilted armrests. These easy chairs are modest yet sharp and convincing in their design. Please note that these items are in good, used condition. The frame shows some irregularities in the lacquer on the wood and could use renewing. This item might contain some threadbare upholstery with loose seams and small stains. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
