English 19th Century Oak Desk Chair

About the Item

This handsome 19th century English oak desk chair, circa 1860s, features the original leather upholstery and an incredible rich patina. The padded chair back, with large decorative nail heads (several lacking), has a rear pierced handle and sits upon a pair of chamfered rear side rails. The cushioned seat, with smaller brass nail heads (several lacking), is raised on chamfered legs joined by an H-form stretcher. The whole rests on unique roller-ball casters which, along with the handle, make for ease of movement.
