This remarkable antique chair from the mid-1800s is as strong and stable as the day she was handcrafted over 150 years ago. Antique office chairs come in all shapes and sizes, but this design is one of the best we ever saw. The aesthetic beauty of the curved backrest ending on both sides with the stunning, hand carved 'handrests' in an accanthus leafs pattern is simply divine. The part of the backrest between the armrest and the seat too is exceptional. This chair comes with a relatively new and clean upholstery and it perfectly matches the walnut frame. Apart from some minor discoloration of the wooden surface on the back, this chair could hardly be in better condition. You can certainly use this comfortable antique chair daily at your desk, but she also makes a highly decorative 'furniture still-life' (as we call it) in your bedroom, in your library or in your hallway.
