De Sede DS-600 “Non-Stop” Modular Sofa for Stendig, circa 1990

About the Item

The DS-600 "Non-stop" sofa was designed in collaboration by Ueli Bergere, Elenora Peduzzi-Riva, Heinz Ulrich and Klaus Vogt at De Sede, Switzerland. In total there are 22 pieces to this stunner. This monumental classic was launched in 1972. DS-600 not only an icon but an indestructible modular system. The 22 pieces are a covered in the original camel colored durable and soft alcantara ultra suede. Each piece is constructed of an L-shaped hard foam core that is covered in down lining and alcantara fabric. The seats are connected with a plug-in hinge and hidden zipper. Different configurations include semi-circle and serpentine shape, can be bent and reconfigured to fit space.
